This course will support the development of knowledge and understanding of health & safety within the forestry sector.
This sector traditionally suffers from a much higher than average rate of occupational accidents, incidents, ill-health and deaths due, in part, to the nature of the work and equipment used. It is, therefore, all the more essential that suitable health & safety training is provided.
This course will support the development of knowledge and understanding of health & safety within this sector. Critically, this knowledge and understanding will be developed in such a way as to promote consistent, real-world application of good health and safety practice and compliance in accordance with law.
This course has been developed with regard to up to date regulation and approved codes of practice. This course has been developed in line with information provided by both the Forestry Commission and FISA.
