Grapple Loader – Forestry Lantra ITA

Any lifting operation can be very hazardous unless the correct equipment and working practices are employed; this is the responsibility of the operator. By applying knowledge, understanding correctly and working within the regulations operators can guarantee safe and successful operation of a Grapple Loader.

Who is it for?

Anyone who uses or will be using a grapple loader in timber work. The 1 day course is for operators who have had prior formal training to be brought up to speed with current legislation and procedures, iron out any bad practice and hone skills.  The 2 day course is for semi-experienced operators wanting to update knowledge and skills.  The 3 day course is for novices wanting to acquire the skills to operate a grapple loader safely.

This is a Lantra ITA course

This means the training and assessment is carried out during the course by your instructor. You will receive both a certificate of training and an ID card (if you provide a photo!) This method saves time and is usually cheaper although the level of training is identical to Independent Assessment.
